Competition Bandimere Tech Inspection at the Truck Fest

Hey folks - looking for some guidance on what the tech inspectors are looking for to run a street 4wd truck on Sunday.



Reason I ask is that I am running my conversion - a 1978 F350 Crew, so I may not have all the pieces they are looking for. I know the basics - seat belts, batteries boxed down, radiator overflow, etc. , but what else might I get tripped up on? The truck is clean (no wires, no fluids dripping), and is not going to require a helmet/roll cage as it is going to run in the 17's or low 18's because I am not ready to launch it just yet! I just want to drive it up there and run the lights as sort of a "victory lap" of getting it roadworthy.



Anything to look out for and have prepared? I went to the NHRA website, no download of their pamphlet/race book by what I could see.

Enough tread on the tires? If you have a "larger than stock" turbo you need a race jacket of some sort.

The tires on there are better than what I've run before on the old 1992 2wd up there, but they are junk used, cupped, leaky, Firestone ATX's from the wife's powersmoke. Got the front end aligned last week, and likely getting new tires today or tomorrow, so should be just fine!

Stock turbo still, but on the list to upgrade as this thing proves worth spending money on. Has 2K miles on it now, and counting...
