Greetings, I did a search and while the banjo bolt for the front brake lines are mentioned often, there is no cross (Dorman) or actual MOPAR part number.
It's a 3500 Quad-cab, SRW and I'm doing the front brakes- 1st time......:p due to age but only 49K miles. I can probably reuse the old ones but since I'm doing calipers (rebuilt) rotors and pads, I'd like to get the bolts.
It would sure be easier to have a P/N.
TIA.

I am away from my resources right now but if no one has responded by Thursday evening I will get you the Mopar number.

You should get new washers with the calipers. Unless there is an issue with the bolt no reason to replace it.

Yeah, always new washers- crush washers. The calipers are (rebuilt) King Calipers (Peabody Mass) and I've good luck with them- and they are real nice to deal with, come with the washers.
The heads of the bolts are rusty......The end of the hose "blocks" are almost gone. I can get away with the old banjo bolts but it would be better to replace them and have it over with- IMO.

Ahh, I see your location now and grok why. ;) Failing finding a part number, a good parts store should have them in stock.

Using my '06 Vin I come up with 6508914AA for a Mopar Number. List Price of $3.20 each. Front and rear are the same.

I believe that the calipers, lines, etc. are the same between the Third Gen 3/4 and 1 ton trucks but I will gladly check it by VIN if you want to provide it. If you prefer to not post it here either PM or e-mail to me.

You should get new banjo bolts with your new/rebuilt calipers. period. They are hollow bolts and are cheap. They are not designed to be retorqued a half dozen times.

They need to be torqued a certain amount to flatten the new crush washer. Imagine that you are 40 miles from your nearest Napa and you are installing new stainless/

kevlar brake lines to the new calipers you recently installed. Everything is good until the last wheel position; where you inadvertantly twist off the bolt head....

If this is your only conveyance- then you are inconvenienced at best.

Don't ask me how I know this- not to mention, the parts store having to look up the crush washers on their own. These are "provided" with the calipers.

The banjo bolts are standard with calipers at some parts stores and not others... demand them- even if you have to pay a couple of bucks. These things

twist until they break.
