I need to get a banjo bolt for my fuel inlet side of my injector pump so I can setup a test gauge. I found a shop that will give me one but they need to know what size mine is. I thought all 12v 98 all comes in one size. What size of banjo bolt does my truck use?

You can use the oem fitting out of an 01. That is what I have in mine. You should be able to get a used one with all the guys that have upgraded their VP systems to bigger lines and fittings.

the banjo bolt for the vp44 is a different size. some have a fitting half way down the tube that a freon 12 or 22 charge line will fit on. i made my test set up using one of them. there is two places on top of the filter to get pressure from one is pre filter and the other is after. i think you can figure it out if not pm me and i will look at one of mine to see where i connected the gauge

:-laf I guess my 94 must be different from all the rest... ... ... I have had the 01 fitting in my p7100 for years and have added them for others as well

bob i may stand corrected but i swear the p7100 banjo bolt is smaller in diameter. the next time one of my 94 to 98's come into the yard i will double check it. it is going to make me feel really stupid if i have been making it hard on myself adding gauges to the p pump.

The vp has 2 different sizes,1inlet,1 return. The 01 inlet fitting is the size you want to measure the inlet pressure to the p pump. I guess I should have taken a pic.

It is true Cummins drivers are some of the most stubborn:-laf
