Have upgraded my Auto transmission on our 99 4x4 and now want to improve performance for towing and have concern on the lift pump issue.

While I am addressing the lift pump issue, I am interested in the banjo fittings from Geno's Garage. I have looked at the pump and filter area and want to know the easist way to get to the fittings and if any special tools needed.

If any update on the lift pump issue please send them my way.

Is Dodge stepping up to this problem ?.

Don't mess with the banjo kit

Call Ted Jannetty 203-753-7223 and order a line kit. You get SS braided hose with AN fittings from pump to filter to inj pump. Also if you have a pressure guage ask for the adpt fitting for that too.

I saw no ingearse in fuel pressure with the Banjo bolt kit, but with the line kit all reading increased as much as 4 psi;)

they are actually pretty easy to get to. no special tools required either.

the best way to get to the lift pump is remove your filter housing while you have the lines loose. then you can get to the lif pump from above. :D

just make sure you get the washers back on and try not to drop them. hand tighten them is fine. just check for leaks.

unless your holding out on us :D or plan some serious BOMB's there is no need to go through the cost of the lines, mentioned above. they wont help you.

just make the DC tech's question your warranty, if you care.

I took out all my fittings drilled them out deburred and chamfered them over a year ago. My pressure went from 0 psi wot 4th gear to 6 psi and lowest I could get was 5 psi wot 6th gear. Total cost 1 hour of time.

Souders, I just installed a set on Sunday, pretty easy job, I ordered the 4 in 1 set so I could hook up my Fuel Pressure gauge.

Instaed of replacing the schrader valves I drilled mine out to match the Ray's bolt orifice size. (If you do this make sure no shavings or burrs are left on them) I did not remove my fuel filter like Todd recommended but it probably would of made the lift pump easier to do.

Do you remember what size you drilled out the banjo bolts ?.
