I've ordered a Banks 4" exhaust, been told that they sell it for 24 valve and that it is the same with the exception of rear hanger modification? Has any body done this or seen it done?

I have a 96 2500 4wd extended cab.

Thanks, Rick

Rick,

I'm not sure if you are asking about the '96 12V mods or the Banks system in general. I have the Banks 4" SS system on my truck and I like it a lot. It was VERY easy to install, everything fit with absolutely no problems!

I got the 4" Banks stainless system on my truck, sans muffler. Great product, probably the best exhaust kit available for the Ram. Only drawback, is the price. Count on 8 bills for the full turbo to tail system.

I assume you want to use a 24 valve exhaust system so you can remove the cat. Friend of mine did this on a 12 valve with a Banks muffler, no problem except that the pipe needed to be bent a little in the rear to attach to the rear hanger correctly. I personally use the 12 valve Banks setup with a test pipe in place of the cat, perfect fit.
