Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Banks Big Hoss

I have the oppertunity to purchase a new Banks Big Hoss module at a very good price. My question is: my truck is a stock 19981/2 24v. 3/4T. auto. 42k miles. Will I have to make any major modifications in order to utilize what this module is capable of, or will I notice an improvement by just installing the module?

Don, I have the Banks big hoss on my truck. No mods. were needed. This unit does not make too much power, however I like the idea it cuts off the extra power when the truck shifts (auto trans). Its enough to pull my little 6k camper and all my prospecting gear up mountain roads at or above posted speeds 65-75 mph. The banks unit fuels when there is air, so maybe a bhaf or other after market air filter system would be all you might want to add. I would love to put an edge and injectors in but I dont have the cash for a new trans.
