Banks Brake on TRUCKS today?

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

Disney Transporter.... Diesel Type?

A thank you note and Happy Holidays.

Did anybody see the banks E-brake on TRUCKS today? Did I hear him right when he said that "it'll open up your exhaust when not active, which means it'll add 20 horses. "

And then they wonder why we hate their adds. I think that it's time Diesel Dynamics, or Piers, or Dave Mitchell gets a truck built up on Trucks. I know it cost money, but if they put a box, DD3 injectors, and a turbo, then they could add 200 hp... . think what that will do to the general public wanteing more power who only knows of companys like (break the)Banks, and Dr. Pee.

Maybe I just needed to vent, sorry guys,

Andrew

Heard Right

Seems as if you heard the same comment that I did. Don't think I'll go (believe) with that big a HP jump with the addition of a E brake. 2

PS

"Crank and Chrome" or the old program, "Shade Tree Mechanic" did a '97 on their TV show couple years ago. Truck belonged to Sam, I think.

I have seen several shows doing diesel hop ups. Trucks used a Western Diesel kit on a PSD. Shadetree did BD products on a 12V like mentioned above. Crank and Chrome did BD products on a 24V, and have also done a PSD but I don't remember the brand of parts. These shows list the manufacturers claims, not reality. The reason they have the parts to use is to make a commercial that we will watch for the parts makers. On the 24V they claimed 100HP gain from a VA/PnP, go figure.

What I saw was Trucks! showing a Banks brake and how it works, no install. It does look better than the other brakes out there but price may be a factor.

Speaking of Trucks...

Don't those guys have a nice shop! Lift's, tire machine, tool boxes galore and those stainless work benches. Thats the kind of shop I dream of having one day. :D

I've always wondered how they and their shop can stay so CLEAN doing mechanic-type stuff?

Ever wonder how many "stage-helpers" there are behind the scenes with a pressure-washer, and dirty cover-alls? ;)
