Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Banks egt ???

I have the banks Otto mind set up, with the egt probe that hooks into the box. It has a 2 lead wire comming back out of the box for a egt gauge. They (banks) wants a arm and a leg for there egt gauge. My question is can I hook any egt gauge up to box. they want way more for there gauge then getting a whole kit w/ probe somewhere else. Any input would help! thanks

you can hook-up any stand alone egt gauge but I believe that only the banks gauge will hook-up to the box for its egt safety limits. The gauges get info from the box not the engine. It could be tough to find any other manuf. that would make parts for just one companies products. What happened to the gauge. Is it the gauge or is it the probe or the wire between the probe and the box. I say this because I'm a bit confused. Maybe they are too. My egt gauge stopped working to on my 2000. The problem was that vibration had broke the plug off inside the box. I was done with Banks' electronics. They would not warranty due to the kit was installed by an unauthorized Banks shop. Sounded to much like the dealer. I went with the Edge Comp box and loved it. NOT recommended with a stock trans. If you want to play you are going to pay sooner or later!

The truck had the banks system on it when i bought it. Everything is working fine I just need a egt gauge to hook into the banks box. I do have a built trans from Goerand, Love it!!!

I have the probe but when I removed the wiring the smaller part of the wire got cut. I still have both halves along with all the other wiring and the ottomind controler and the gauges. If you want this stuff you are welcome to it just pay for shipping and handling.
