BANKS Exhaust Brake

How do you like it and was it hard to install

Also would you buy it again

I already have a banks Monster 4" exhaust.

Installed for over 2 years and it is on all the time. No issues and it installs easily. Warm up, brake is on until coolant gets to about 140*, helps shorten warm up time alot. One thing that was unexpected was how much the exhaust noise went down in the cab. The exhaust noise in the cab at freeway speeds from the passenger side is gone.

How is the" exhaust???? Does it do all they advertise, lower EGT's, 30's or so more HP, better MPG. Thank You.

I also installed an ATS exhaust manifold when I did everthing else. HP and torque increased close to what Banks advertised. At hiway speed the exhaust sounds like a good turbo muffler on a gasser in the cab, more noise outside than stock especially under load. EGT dropped about 100* pulling the same hills as before, including the Grapevine. Very little difference in unloaded fuel mileage, about 1/2 mile more. About 3 mpg more towing. This is where the biggest difference is, will pull harder with less pedal.



Almost forgot, put a BHAF on at the same time.
