Banks Exhaust Or Straight Pipe

I installed banks muffler on my 92 about 3 years ago because i wanted better exhaust flow without the noise of a straight pipe exhaust. Would there be a noticable difference in performance, spool-up,etc. if i lost the banks in favor of the straight pipe exhaust ? Also, how much added noise?

I pulled the banks muffler of of mine a few years ago and like it much better i dropped EGT about 100degf, i did not like the raspy tinny straight pipe sound so i installed a Dynomax Bullet racing muffler to deepen the sound a bit, it is quit a bit louder but only under acceleration cruising i can't here it over the rest of the noise

leaky doors, tire hum, turbo whistle, the usual 200,000 mile diesel noises... ... ... ..... Rick
