I am ready to buy a Banks Monster Exhaust system for my otherwise stock 99. To add the Aeroturbine or not? That is the question.
I simply want to get a little more umph and mpg plus lower EGT's. Don't care about "cool" sound. Just want about the same sound level as stock.
Banks says they were unfamiliar with Aeroturbine and if such a thing worked they would add one of their own design.
Diesel Power Products can add one to the Banks for $121. They say their experience shows it lowers EGT but cannot say how.
There has been no published data on the Aeroturbine from an independent testing lab. However, some people rave about them on TDR but so far mostly due to a "cool" sound.
I'm not expecting much new info from this latests post but thought I would try one more time to request comments from people with and without the Aeroturbine. The more data the better.
Thanks,
Ed
