Not sure what you are asking. If you are asking is the Banks PDA is compatible with a MAC. Then you should be able to find that out at the Palm website. The Banks unit uses a Palm Tungsten E2 as the visual interface. If you can sync a Palm with the MAC then you should be in business. But, there is no reason to need to sync is you are not using it for other applications like your calendar and phone book. I have a company provided unit for that, so the Tungsten is dedicated to the truck.

I would think that banks PDA comes with software ?Ottomind? that would need to be installed . If that software will not work on a Mac i dont know if its worth bothering to get one. If it has applications like calendar and phone book or MP3 it would be nice to use all of them.

maybe there is someone already running this setup.

The PDA part of a Banks system is just a Palm Tungsten E2 that you can buy on the open market, the Banks holster for the Palm provides an infra red interface and a power plug to keep the Palm charged. The Banks software comes on a SD chip that you download into the Palm. If I understand your question, it is will the Mac work in place of the Palm. I would say no.

If your CrapinTosh (sorry, it's not crap, that just sounds funny!) has an Intel chip, and the Banks PDA has custom "windows only" software to do any firmware/software upgrades to the Palm device. Then look into Vmware or Parallels virtual machine software. Install a copy of windows on your Mac in a virtual machine and you should be all set to do any necessary functions.

As far as standard Palm tools, like calendars and what not. you should be all set with standard mac software.
