Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Banks Plate Question

Guys,



My friend installed a Banks plate this weekend and he is wondering if he should slide the plate forward, housing forward or both. Also should he be concerned with EGT's since he doesn't have any gauges yet. Any information would be appreciated.
