I have a Banks Powerpack on my '99. Occasionally, I will lose all boost and my egt gauge will misread really low. I've checked all connections, including the Map sensor and wire tap for the fuel pump. I have found that when this occurs, if I shut down and restart the engine, the problem disappears. I'm thinking the automind is screwball. Anyone else have this problem? Any input on what may be the problem / solution?:confused:

Does your check engine light come on and have you seen any error codes after this has happened? Does this usually happen after pushing the engine hard? I'm wondering if the ECM is detecting an overboost number and severely defueling. Another thing to check for sure is your fuel pressure at your VP-44, make sure that a lack of fuel isn't causing your symptoms.

Check your ground connections and give Banks tech service a call 1-888-839-2700. It may be you have a sensor which is going bad and hasn't failed yet or something like that.

Yes, I do lose power!

It's not just the boost guage showing no boost, The truck responds as if it lost all boost.

The only guages that indicate any problem at all is the boost falling to zero and the egt guage dropping so low it is obviously reading incorrectly. :{

i'd get in touch with banks. . they are real good in helping their customers out... sounds like a loose connection somewhere in the system (as i remember, their power box/guages/etc... are all tied together into one "system")

i have heard that the scotch lock can make intermittant connections, i solder this connection for a fried:rolleyes: and that took care of his problem
