Attention CON OFE Owners:

Blew 2 out of 5 springs on CON OFE

i have a 2001 HO and i have the banks powerpack on it right now. there was a post that someone made in the "Banks vs. edge" they said that banks causes alot more stress on the lift pump if they do not upgrade the injectors. i was just wondering if this is true and if anyone has upgraded the injectors while using the banks system and if so what injectors. . i have not have trouble with the lift pump so far and i hope to never have a problem with it but i think that is a little wishful thinking on my part. thanks for the input.

A friend of mine ran a Banks ottomind and Bullydog 2 injectors for a while with no engine problems, it worked well except for the fact that it was putting his auto through a slow death.

well i have been looking around the site alot over the last couple of days and i have seen that alot of people do not like the Banks Systems. if i took the fueling box off my truck and then left the rest of the banks on ( turbo housing, high ram intake and the exhaust) and then put a set of DIII in would i have any type of EGT problems. I am supposed to recieve the Big hoss sometime soon as a free upgrade. i dont knwo what i should do.

Well the DDIII's would be a big step up in power, and with your stock turbo you could probably be on the high end with EGT's if you tow. I'm guessing though. You'd probably want to get a better than stock clutch and also you'd need a boost module. I personally dont think there is anything wrong with Banks products, they do work. Its just the way Bank$ advertises and how much they charge that sucks.

if you listen to this bunch of gearheads [myself included]. . you would kill your rig soon LOL

you have already spent the $$ on Banks... some here [me included] will say that they are overpriced and and don't give enough. . however you have what you have and no turning back, there are other choices that you can do [HP] more for less [$] , but they are a turn key type of deal for those who don't know about TDR and info available here. lol...

if you have gauges great if not add at least EGT and Boost. . if an auto then a transmission temp one also... then decide what you want...

large HP requires large injectors and will cause EGT issues without turbo mods to go with it... so do some more reading as to what you want to achieve and make your decisioins from there ...

it's your rig and only you can decide how far to go, keeping in mind if you tow there are completely other requirements do EGT issues. .

ON EDIT... excuse me you said you were an HO so transmission not an issue ... but the clutch will be at about 300 HP. . maybe a little more
