Banks PowerPDA/Six-Gun and timing...

Is it possible to disable the timing functions of the Banks PowerPDA/Six-Gun by either software or by disconnecting the timing harness? If not, does anyone know how much timing it adds and if it's too aggressive to stack with anything that also adds timing?

Banks 6 gun/PDA

I have a 05 auto with the Banks kit. It has all the power my transmission can handle and the built in safeguards. I routinely pull 14k gooseneck and now with the PDA, I can see what temp my transmission is running. On a steep grade with switchbacks, my transmission will get up to 238 as I have to go slow to get around the curves and I can't go fast enough for the transmission to lockup. I have plenty of power, it's the curves that makes me stay slow. The alarm goes off at 220. . I now have to look for transmission upgrades.
