I am looking into getting a banks sixgun for my 06 ram, what kind of rail pressures are you guys seeing cruising down the highway? I am not looking for an all out power box, just one the has a bump in power and a monitors everything. I've never thought about running anything with pressure, and to be honest it kinda scares me a little. What are your opinions on uping rail pressure? Thanks.

The Banks Six Gun does a LITTLE of everything. So what little rail pressure they add should be perfectly safe. I drove an 04 6speed with the six gun and found it to be very smooth power and no smoke just as claimed.

I dont buy Banks stuff just because I am an all out kind of person but I feel they have good products for daily drivers.

More Importantly, the Six/PowerPDA is very gentle on the Pressure, spiking is unheard with the Banks Tuners. Rail Pressure is very safe and one of the safest ways of adding HP, its high pressure spikes that cause damage. I have ran My stock injection system at rail pressure up to 30,000 psi, No sign of damage to this day, it was close to 1000 miles of daily driving set at this extreme level. I modded the LV to pop of at a little over 30k, this was last summer, I have set my levels back to the PowerPDA/T-Dog stack and the LV back to 26. 5K.

I think the Six Gun is awesome, I think it is also probably the safest power adder on your powertrain/fuel rail. I have it and love it, its got tons of power, smooth as butter and almost no smoke, I have the used the Smarty alot because my brother has it, I ran it for a month and it was good, but the engine did not sound and feel as smooth, it felt like it ws kicking my trannys's a**, and it is easy to dump a cloud of smoke. The six gun/speedloader on my truck feels safe, I get better mileage and you can bump up the power with the twist of a knob, I generally leave it on 3.
