Banks straight pipe on 03

Has anyone installed a Banks 4" W/O the muffler? How does it sound in the cab? Ordered mine the other day, but still undecided wheather to run the muff or straight pipe.

I don't know about Banks specifically. But, I did just install a 4" down pipe to a 5" straight pipe to the rear last weekend. I think it sounds great! But, the people being passed when it is between 2000 and 2500 might not like it! It get's a little loud in that range but for the most part sounds really throaty. About like a gas pick-up with Flowmasters on it. I love it!

I have heard one straight piped 3gen and I didn't like it myself but hey----it ain't mine either ya know? It just sounded "hissy", almost like their was a compressed air hose blowing from the other end. I just got my banks system with an aeroturbine installed right behind the flange on the down pipe. It sounds real good with a resonant, slightly "ringy" sound-----like a flowmaster but deeper and richer.
