I like the kit, looks nice under the hood. Installation went great, not sure of how long because me and the buddies were bs and carrying on half the time. Truck seems to run better as well need to do more upgrades to make it really work. Just glad to say goodbye to the plastic thing. I feel Banks did pretty good on this product. Just my 2 cents. Probably wont buy anything else by Banks but this was a definite inprovement.

Pierce is working on one right now. Birdie says target release time is summer 06 for the third gens...

I plan on ordering one from them as soon as they are available.

Cheers, Bill

I think Banks has the market cornered on aftermarket Intercoolers. Was it a direct bolt in?

BD has one. Not sure if they've got it for 3rd gens or not. I've never looked that close 'cause I ain't a gonna spend the money... yet.

1. Yes, this kit has the High-Ram.

2. You guys aint gonna like this but I dont have my pryometer installed, mainly in case of Edge Hot Juice Removal for warranty work, so I cant give you before and after egts, but I dont run my truck on #5 because the clutch cant hold it anyway, but I probably would be suprised how high my egts would be when I have it up on #3 and #4 the little I have it turned up. I will have to get this pryometer installation #1 on the to do list, dont want to damage turbo or anything else, especially if I go with the Arctic Air Twins which uses the stock turbo, but need clutch and FASS before I worry about twins or a larger single

3. Yes it was a direct bolt in, brings A/c condenser closer to grille, clearance a litte tighter between grille and A/C condenser but not any trouble though

4. Sorry no pics, dont have a digital camera or know enough to get pics on here, but here use your imagination a larger, monster of intercooler with 3. 5" piping instead of 2. 75" piping and a High Ram intake

Hopefully I answered all questions asked of now, Sorry if I cant be more help but truck does seem to run better and spool better, hard to tell without actually before and after dyno #s. Test drive last night was difficult as well due to slightly wet roads here in SouthCentral PA, couldnt get them 325/60/20 Nitto Terra Grapplers to grab hold for nothing

The reason you haven't installed the pyro may be the reason you need warranty work.

You could have not finished installing the gauge if the dealer asks. The gauge itself is not a performance modification. I'd get that thing in there right away as the Attitude will defuel if your egt's get too high.

i totally agree, theres nothing wrong with having a EGT gauge. all over the road truckers have them---just tell them you tow alot! :-laf

I think he's reluctant to install the egt probe that came with the Attitude because if he removes the edge to take it into the dealer, he will have a probe that isn't connected to anything. Remember the classic quote from a wise TDR member: "You are your own warranty station. "

i do the same thing, just get a 1/8 NPT plug in it w/thread lock and go on your mary little way, they cant question something unless it causes a problem! :D

No thread lock!

You need to use high-temp never-seez if you want to get it out again.

Install that EGT probe. You won't regret it. You will regret melting your motor over a 1/8" hole you didn't want the dealer to see.

I have the Techni-Cooler in my truck. Didn't do anything for me for daily driving down the street. But cruising down the freeway at 70mph is where I saw the difference. No load about 100* drop. But for towing it's awesome. I've seen in 200*+ drop climbing a grad with. The first test was with my 6500 boat going to Havasu (AZ). Same load, same road, same conditions, one weekend apart. I have seen as much as 300* drop but I think alot of it had to do with the temp outside. Over all install was easy. Couple of hours. Made a huge difference in egt drops.
