Well, I figured the best way to find out what these 6. 7/68RE were made of was to try it out. One of my dealers had this 38' triple axle sled in Ocala, Fl. that needed to go to St. Louis so we volunteered.

I was amazed at the power and torque of this unit. Ran up that long pull northwest of Chattanooga at 55 mph in 5th like a freight train passing a hobo. Figured the mileage when we fueled after we dropped this unit and it was 10. 9 (hand figured).

We keep 30 units on order at Bison in Milford, Indiana, so we bob-tailed over there(400 miles) to pick up one of those coming back to Dothan, Al. to the dealership. We fueled at the Wal-Mart in Effingham, Ill. after leaving St. Louis and are still running on that fuel all the way from Effingham up to Milford, Ind. , then down to Dothan, Al. and then home to Crystal River, Fl. (We carry 125 gallons)

Needless to say, I am well pleased... ... ... ... ... ... . now if it will just stay together!View attachment 78681

Glad you like the truck. I have a fiberglass chicken slide from a day cab peter-bilt that I plan on putting on my rack when I get time. I am convinced they help. Will be nice to adjust it and lighter to adjust. Can lay flat when not needed.

Hey Okie,

Here is the link to that FL 50 Cabriolet I bought the other day for one of my dealers... ... ... ... ... ... . nicest one I ever bought!

Freightliner Horse Trailer For Sale Used 2001 Truck Gooseneck Horse Trailer For Sale - Dixie Horse & Mule Co.

The old gentleman that owned it was AR to the 'nith degree. The aux tank on the back is 110 gallons. He was towing a big Newmar London Aire but could no longer handle the rig... ... ..... so he traded the whole rig in on a motor home. He had the truck and trailer custom painted to match.

I took these pix while it was sitting in my yard before I delivered it to the dealer.

This is not an offering nor a solicitation of sale.

Barry, those look like 19. 5s. You seem to have alot of miles with duallys, so how does the SRW 19. 5 compare to duallys?

Mr. Christ,

I have some miles with duallys. I have far more miles with SRW trucks than I have with duallys. For what we do, a SRW truck is a better fit. And, the 19. 5s just make it more safe and give us twice the wear of a pick up tire.

I just sold my '06 SRW 3500 with 233K on it and it was/is a great truck. If at all possible, I would not run a SRW truck, doing what we do, without the 19. 5s.

I had Rickson steel wheels on the '06. I have Vision 81s with Michelin 225/70/19. 5s on the '09. We just came thru Ill. and Ind. and the pot holes(the ones I did not see in time) will jar your teeth with the 19. 5s.

I run 70 lbs in the fronts and fluctuate between 70 and 100 cold in the rear... depending on load. To get maximum mileage out of a 19. 5 on a pickup, you must keep a close eye on air pressure or they will wear out prematurely.
