I've used this in my gas engines as a seal conditioner. Is the same true for a diesel. I currently have no leaks. I'm changing out the original radiator hoses, thermostat and water pump here in a bit. Didn't know if the Bars Leaks was bad for a diesel.

Bars Leaks is good stuff but I've only used it when I have a leak. Regular coolant changes with the correct anti-freeze and distilled water should be all your seals need.

My opinion is I would stay far away from it unless you have a large leak. I have seen that stuff block heater cores, water distribution tubes, etc.

If it will plug a leak it will plug up a cooling system. Ask a radiator shop about what it looks like in one that has had Bars leak in it. It is great stuff for what it was designed for but only when the problem is worse than a clogged radiator.
