OK, I know no one asked but I'll post anyway. I've been on a detailing kick as of late and wasn't having much luck getting rid of the ugly hard water deposits on the quarter panel windows. A search here produced several discussions on the subject. One recommendation was "Bartender's Friend. " It's a cleanser powder like Comet but milder from what I can tell Anyway, it worked like a charm! 2 or 3 minutes of polishing with a water/BF paste got rid of the water spots. I charged up a paper towel to do the actual polishing/cleaning and then rinsed with clean water. The truck looks much, much better now.

I also went ahead worked over the rest of the glass on the rig while I was at it. It made a noticeable improvement.

My research has shown me that after washing the vehicle, the water must be wiped off or blown off so that it cannot form deposits on your glass or paint. I guess I've just been lazy and the truck paid the price.

The other thing I discovered on my "Internet detailing" search was microfiber towels. These things are great! Nice and soft and they do a great job of dusting and polishing.

Now it's time to get some Klasse wax and polish. Users of this stuff just rave about it.

Just thought I'd pass this along.

You might try the Clay Magic type stuff. Alleged to work well on glass.

Used it on my truck paint and it worked wonders. Didn't use it on the glass.

Amazing stuff.
