Truck broken into nearly 4 years ago, (drivers side window busted out). Had new glass installed, now my power door locks do not operate. Have done the recommended service manual procedure. Doors do not lock via driver door switch or passenger side door switch. BUT, I can lock both doors from the passenger side switch only. I have checked the wire harness on both doors, which was fine. I have installed new lock motors on both doors to no avail. I do not have RKE or hi-line/premium CTM. The only thing I can think of yet is that possibly my driver side door lock/window switch may be bad. The manual does not call out any of my symptoms for troubleshooting.

This has been an ongoing nuisance for nearly 4 years! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Page 8N - 9 (DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING - POWER LOCK SWITCH) of the model year 2002 Ram 2500/Ram 3500 Factory Service Manual looks to me like it has a test procedure for the switch in question.

Thank you, Thomas. What was throwing me off course was why lock motors would only lock from passenger side switch only. I wasn't able to find anything in troubleshooting for that specific symptom.

I ended up removing the driver side window/lock switch to do a continuity test on the switch itself..... VOILA!!!! Seems I should have known by the way the young boy @ glass shop "butchered" my door vapor barrier (water dam). Just after my glass was replaced and I got home to see why my power locks were not operating, I removed door interior panel to discover a shredded water dam and broken retainers on door window/lock switch.

Now, nearly 4 years later, doing a continuity test on the switch I see that the same boy has demolished the #8 pin on the switch!!! After finessing the pin back into shape with needle-nose pliers, LOCKS WORK PERFECT NOW!!!

Lesson learned--- New water dam from Dodge is getting hard to come by 4 years ago. And a perfect example why I refuse to let anyone else work on my rig for any reason!

I guess I don't get the "4 years ago" part:confused:

P/N 55134613 WATERDAM, Front Door, left looks like it's pretty easy to find. Glad your up and running without throwing more parts at it.
