My truck would not start a couple of days ago when it was about 30 deg. F. Hadn't driven in a few days and it started later in the day when I put the charger on the batteries. Any one have a recommendation for replacement batteries that are not too hard to find and don't cost an arm and a leg? bg

Optima Red Tops

Costco has them for $99 each, which is a bargain. These batteries are great! Some of the guys like the yellow top ones (deep cycle) but I think for the average guy the red ones would be hard to beat. Just my $. 02 worth.

Optima 's are a great way to go if you can find them around you for a decent price.

I've used Exides for my own trucks, van and trailers as well as EV's... great batteries.

Interstates came with my TT and they've been great and I know one friend and two shops that swear by the Interstates for wet cells.

In any case you can get a bad battery from anyone of these manufacturers, it's not unheard of. In 25years of buying batteries I got a couple of bad 6v's and one bad 12v from exide in the past.

Thats what warranties are for.
