VuQube problems

Mount Shasta CA anyone?

Im going to Yellowstone for a few days earlyl next week. Im going to be dry camping for 3 days. Can anyone tell me if it would buy me anything to hook up my tt batteries to my batt charger overnight before I go ? I usually keep the tt plugged in to shore power, and they do get a charge that way. But I think Ive read that the tt converter doesnt give them a full charge.

Now, they will be getting a charge from the truck during my 2 day 8 hour drives.

Thanks for your help.

The charger on most RV's don't fully charge there batteries they maintain batteries, so it will not hurt although depending on how much your in your RV using power it probably will be ok for the trip DEPENDING HOW MUCH YOU USE YOUR POWER, but if all else fails you could charge off your truck, just don't forget to start the truck.

Depending on the age of your trailer, you may or may not be charging fully with your onboard converter. The newer three-stage models will bring your batteries up to full charge, but some older single-stage versions are not as good as a good charger.

If your batteries are really low, say 50%, it will take a long time to bring them up to full with your truck because you only get around 5-6 amps to them by the time you figure voltage drop from being 30' back from the alternator.

A good charger like the Vector 1093 (Black and Decker) will top off the batteries and desulfate and condition them also.

if youhave and older charger and going to keep the trailer for awhile think about up grading your charger for a new one. mine is an intelli charger, never had a problem with charging or maintaince current to the battery. i run a sears platinum series agm.

My '01 Cedar Creek overcharges the batteries (I think) 'cause I have to remember to put distilled water in them (2-6volts) periodically. I had Johnny Walker RV check them when I took it in for an A/C problem and they said they load checked them and they were OK. I have the charging cable for the Honda generators since I "rough it" at a KOA I have yet to use it or the generators. I went with the Honda generators after driving through the campground at Lake Mead and hearing those bargain generators raising hell with the noise. They are pretty sweet units.
