I have an '02, and the batteries seem to boil over a lot. They are not over filled, but I have to do battery maintenance on both and the hold down bolts. I have to clean them about every 2 months. I have replaced the original bolts and cleaned the trays. I also had to re-route a wiring conduit that sits behind the tray. Is there something I can do about these batteries?

Check the voltage while the batteries are being charged... it should be no more then 14. 7 v. Also, if the battery case is bulging or warping on the sides, that is a sign of their being over charged.

As mentioned above, what you describe is a classic symptom of overcharged batteries. However, it is also possible that you have cheap, junky batteries which will puke and corrode no matter what. When filling the cells, only fill them to the bottom of the plastic... . just my $0. 02.
