I'm ready to replace my battery cable, and was curios what kit you guys have used? I know its cheaper to make them, just don't have the time wright now. I'm looking at Genoe's Battery Cables and Components - HEAVY DUTY BATTERY CABLE KIT ('94-'98) (genosgarage.com) , C auto electrical supply Gen 2 Dodge Diesel Truck Battery Cable Kits – CE Auto Electric Supply and custombatterycable.com Battery Cables for Dodge Ram (Gen 2) 5.9L Cummins Diesel (custombatterycables.com). I'm leaning towards C auto electrical supply, has anyone used their kit, and I'm going to up grade it to 2/0 AWG gauge.
Thanks Dave

To the best of my knowledge Genos doesn't carry parts that are not tested and approved by the management. Since the prices are close, my preference would be Genos.

I used these as my battery to cable terminals were bad rest of cable was good. Just used a cutoff wheel to put a slice in the old ends, heated a bit and removed. Then heated wire a bit, to "tin" the wire end, a bit of dielectric grease and tightened up. Doesn't take long at all and a whole lot less $ and work. If you go this route you need not remove the batteries just disconnect them both and protect (I used a wet towel) to prevent drops of solder from getting where you don't want them or burning something...

Genos are made by the custombatterycables people, they buy in bulk and have them in stock.

Its in the flyer that way I think.

Mine are those and they were great.

Ditto Tim. ¼ turn on the cinch screws and they come right off the terminals, same ¼ turn tightens then up. Great product.

So I ended up with the kit from CE auto electrical supply, Gen 2 Dodge Diesel Truck Battery Cable Kits – CE Auto Electric Supply .
I looked at Geno's to but the cost to ship and tax on top of the cost was about $70.00 more and the CE auto electrical supply kit was pretty close to the same items and the wire they use is interesting that its really flexible and easy to route (Pure Oxygen Free Copper (OFC), and tinned for corrosion resistance) 2/0 AWG . Installation was pretty straight forward, I think it took longer to get the old wire out.

Man! That is a clean looking truck!
The truck is 1997 and was my Dads, he passed away 12 years ago and my mom just couldn't sell it , sat most of the time , only has 123,000 miles on it. One day she said come get the truck, so I've had it for 3 plus years, the truck has a good hart and running gear, no rust. Only problem is the clear coat peeling off ,like most Gen 2 Dodges.

My 2002 short bed has about 88,000 miles on it and it doesn't look as good. The interior is still pretty clean, no cracks in the dash, but the paint on the roof is fading and wearing through.
