Knife Switch

Bob,

How are these connected? I took a gander at them on the link but I can't tell how they are mounted.

Better cut out switch!

If you want a really good switch go to your local caterpillar dealer and get their ground brake switch. it has a key and has a really high amp rateing. trick little switch;) works great also

radixr,

These mount on the positive battery post. Remove the positive battery cable, mount switch when you remove the cable, then there's another post on the switch that you connect the cable to that you removed from the battery.

Mike,

It might be a better switch but, I don't have a Cat dealer in my area!! Just trying to help!!

Harbor Frieght has a nice one for $10. 00, I haved used these for years and have had no trouble with them. Installed on negative post.

I bought one from Harbor Freight also for an easy fix to a beater truck at work that was draining it's battery while parked. I was pleased at it's high quality, many times the quality of items from HF leave much to be desired.
