battery fitment

Hi All:
I am looking at Deka 94r agm batteries for my 2006 Ram. Has anyone managed to fit this into the engine compartment without modifications? If not, recommendations for a battery that fits. No Odysseys. I am too old to take out a second mortgage. Thanks, steve whalen

I'm thinking of going with Deka and another member used the following CAT branded Deka battery: 115-2422

Thanks for the reference to the CAT battery. I checked the dimensions, and I believe it may be a bit large to fit the battery tray without modification. The dimensions on the Deka 94r are too close to tell without battery in hand. That is why I was hoping someone had actually installed this battery and could comment. Regards, steve whalen

Maybe @Axekicker will chime in but from his photos he got them on his 2004.5. I would like to know if they won't work in our 2006 trucks. The dimensions of the CAT battery are 12.9 L x 9.4 H x 6.7 W - See below. My current Odessey batteries are 12.0 L x 7.25 H x 7.0 W. Both height measurements are to the top of the terminal. The battery tray is 13" long so it would certainly be snug!

The CAT battery your looking at is a Group 31. It will not fit without tray mods and longer cables. I’m also not sure it’s a “rebranded Deka” as stated. If that pic is of the actual battery, that case looks like an Exide case, not a Deka.
