Battery Probe Temp???

My son just picked up a new 06 CTD with manual transmission and after about 2000k miles the check engine lite came on. He took it to the dealership and they checked it and said it was the battery probe temp too high. The mechanic told him he has never seen that message but to drop back on Monday and he would have some more info. He reset the code and it has been fine for two days. Has anyone had this code appear before and if so what does it mean?

It is most likely an eroneous code... ... ... . there is a flash for some ecms that will correct this condition

My 06 just threw this code, I took it back today and they did the TSB, they also enabled the high idle for me!

Yes there is a flash for it. Mine was replaced before the flash came out. Its located under the driver side battery
