:confused:My 2001 3500 Battery's both had a sudden death with no warning. didn't find any draw on the battery's, and couldn't bring them back to life. these battery's on lt had 46k on them figured they would last longer? HWhite

That is kind of quick for them to play out. My 98 cummins I got two years out of the factory battery's. I went to Sam's and got two of the Champions for 110 out the door. That was about 3 years ago though.

My OEM batteries lasted 18 months on my 1996. I replaced them with Optima red top batteries. Those ran flawlessly until early this month (June), when I replaced them with another set of Optimas and relegated the old ones to my travel trailer tongue. (I know they aren't deep cycle, but so far, so good. )

The heat here in central Arizona eats lead-acid batteries. The kind you can't add water to are the worst.

hwhite,

have you checked your charging voltage?

did you or anyone driving the truck have a habit of leaving interior or exterior lights on?
