I am upgrading turbo's very soon. I am looking to buy a BD 4" remote mount exhaust brake, since the new turbo is much bigger than the hx35,I cant use my pacbrake. Does anyone know where I can get one for less than than full retail,it sems like 899 is the number for these things,I was hoping to get a little better price if possible. I thought i could get by without an exhaust brake, but i tried to drive my truck for a couple of days with the pacbrake off,and i couldnt do it,I have to have one now, once you have one,you cant go back... ... . So anyone who has one, where did you get it,how much, and where did you put it,in the exhaust? Will i need to buy any flanges or anything else to install it,other than my trusty MIG welder.

I have heard them for as little as $750. I talked to Fred Swanson from www.desertdieselparts.com and he might be able to put together a package deal. Give him a call. 623 910 9575 and tell him I sent you. I want one and so does Fred. Maybe he can get abetter deal on three than one or two. Hope this helps. Greg

What did you find out for a price? Another option is to have someone buy it in Canada because they are scewing us on the exchange rate. So if you buy it in Canada with a US credit card it will be less than 899 more like 800 depending on the exchange rate.
