BD #8 plate same as a TST plate?

I have an opportunity to buy a #8 BD plate used.



Would this be a good fit for my 94 Auto? I have a boost and EGT gauge already.

about 210 hp, 570 ft lb.

Someone at BD told me that they use tst plates. The #8 in a 94 auto would be 210hp/560TQ. The #6 would get you to 230hp/605tq. You can look at the tst plate chart here

I will try to call BD today and ask. I'm looking for a little more power, but don't want the expense of a new transmission right now.
