On my recent camping trip with the camper loaded, I was backing into the site and as I hit the pedal, the engine almost stalled. This happened two times. I decided to shut off the BD brake and the problem went away. I was only 50 miles from home and I didn't really work the engine that much. The altitude was around 2000' and the air temp was around 85F. Since the brake is OFF (below 28MPH), I don't understand why the engine was stumbling. It never did this before.

Anyone have any clues?

Mine does the same thing in reverse. I think its because of the high reverse gearing especially if you get on the throttle and get off in a hurry... like you do backing the trailer onto leveling blocks. You can easily go 30 in R.
