Looks like I'm the first to report in...
Our NW BOMBers breakfast and convoy was a great way to start the day. We had 20 trucks and 30 people at our breakfast, and the convoy grew to 22 trucks when Claymike and Mike Brolin joined up about 20 miles farther north. The chatter on the CB was lively and entertaining. I'd like to extend a welcome to all the new faces who joined us for the first time.
The new Mustang dyno at BD is quite impressive compared to watching a needle on a gauge. They had a big screen projector so everyone could watch the numbers and see the final readout. One little negative, and keep in mind that this is the first event with the new dyno, the process of chaining down the trucks took time, so many trucks never made it to the dyno. I know the folks at BD felt bad about (I mean "aboot", after all, we were in Canada, eh) that, but that's the learning curve, I guess.
Piers put on a good smokin' donuts show out on the street until the cops pulled him over!
I didn't run my truck on the dyno, so I'll stop here and let others report in with their numbers.
I'm looking forward to the next event in the spring.
Thanks to all the folks at BD for having us there! Thumbs up!
Andy

GOOD SHOW!! WELL DONE!!
Before becoming a TDR member never had heard about BD Dyno days. Attended my first one today. Found the whole experience very informative. BD staff were very helpful and willing to answer questions. Was good to meet fellow TDR members and other Dodge Truck owners. Was surprised at how few Chevy and Ford trucks were there.

The convoy was great... lively is a good way to explain the chatter on the Cb, then at breakfast, we wore name tags and stood and introduced ourselves. Getting to BD, the dyno actually had a second screen to watch, from a different area of their shop. Pretty cool! I met many TDR members up there and had great conversation. I was mostly talking clutches. Didn't get a chance to try out my secret BOMB, cause the dyno was just too busy.
Andy forgot to say that he got searched at the border... not 30 seconds after John was telling me that Andy had the most honest face of anyone! Jinxed him, I guess!
I loaned the BB to MikeR for the dyno, and left before he ran... . think he was going for High HP award, cause I saw him turning it up prior to using the dyno.
It was also great to see our local shop being represented up there. And Evan, of course.
Thanks to all the NW BOMBers for making it a fun day, and to BD for hosting this event!

WOW! I'm really sorry I missed this event. I was pre-committed to another event, but I think I would have had much more fun at BD Dyno Days. No, strike that, I KNOW I would have had more fun. I'll be at the next one for sure.

WHAT AN ABSOLUTE AWESOME DAY!!!! It was a blast seeing old friends as well as meeting new ones (and puting faces to still others that I've met through this BB). Many thanks to BD for hosting the best Dyno Day yet. Their new dyno facility and state of the art Mustang dyno was nothing short of awesome!

Congratulations are in order for all the Show-N-Shine contestants, everyone worked so hard at detailing their pride and joy. MikeR (best Dodge) and Dave Perea (best engine compartment) received the top honors.
Congratulations... a job very well done! #ad

PS: Andy, thanks for illuminating the homing beacon to welcome the convoy of us "Southerner", NW BOMBers. #ad

BD once again put on a 1st class function, THANK YOU BRIAN, PIERS AND EVERYONE ELSE AT BD!

Piers smoke show was an awesome show of power. Once again, Dodge reigns supreme! I think I counted a total of four ford powerstrokes, one chevy, Dodge/Cummins totally dominated.

It was great to meet other members (local and out of towners) who joined our NW BOMBer BOMBvoy to Abbottsford. Other than the Canadian border patrol, instructing about every fourth truck to pull over to be searched, a GREAT time was had by all!

Well I just sent out the pictures that I took at Dyno Days. There are three emails with still pictures and one with a couple of MPG's of Piers doing his thing. I know I didn't get everybody on the list that convoyed up there but Rob should be posting them so everyone can enjoy.

Anybody know what kind of numbers Dave Perea's truck posted on the dyno? I left at the time his truck was on the dyno with a bed full of guys to add traction. MikeR, how about your truck?
BTW, we didn't have a drop of rain while we were there. When I woke up in the morning to rain, I thought it would be a lousy day.
Too bad we never got a chance to photograph our convoy, but we'll make sure we do that next time.
It was great to have the state of Idaho represented (Big Bob & wife Kathy, and Papa Joe) as well as our Oregon friends Claymike (Mike Clay) and Michael Brolin along with us. Y'all come and join us anytime!
It was cool to meet some of the members on these forums in person for the first time, like Ed Council (RamnProwler), Dewdo, JMBrowning, Bill (from University Place, WA)... doggone it, I know there were others at our breakfast, I should have written down the names. Who has a better memory than me? We also had a few people who are new owners and have not yet gotten on the forums. Anyway, I had a great time. Of course anytime I'm in a parking lot full of Dodge/Cummins trucks, I have a great time!
Hope y'all got to meet TDR writer Scott Dalgleish, who flew up from L. A. for this event.
Also, I can't sign off without mentioning Jason & Gail Burton of Northwest Custom, it was great to see them again.
Andy

Well, it was my first BOMB run... ..... I'll never be the same.
First, my sincere thanks to Rob Hanson for his hospitality, tools, and advice on the installation along with the help from John, Mike R, Bob Wagner, and Big Bob. More about this in another thread.
Dewdo and I were first (and the only people) at Wellers at 5:30. At 5:50 I was getting that uneasy feeling I was at the wrong place when 16 shiny Rams came out of the darkness and filled the parking lot. It should be in a movie... ... ... Anyway I got to meet many TDR members and several aspirants.

BD knows how to put on a shindig. All you can eat breakfast and lunch to say nothing of the friendly atmosphere and free Dyno. Great shop manned by great people.
The atmosphere was good until Piers got a hair cross-ways and then the show was on. Fantastic display of brute horsepower, disdain for perfectly good tires, and grown-up frivolity captured on film by about 100 immature 40-50 year old men with cameras. Life is good !! I was #39 for the Dyno and they stopped at 32 to get the big boys on. Maybe next time. FWIW I saw Hps range from 114 to 374 (One was a Dodge and one was not #ad

).

Thanks to all for a great time. I'll be baack #ad

Talk about a great time! The turnout for the convoy was great, and really neat to look in the rear-view and see a big string of trucks snaking around a curve.
At first,I wasn't going to put my truck in the show-n-shine because it got dirty with the rain and road spray on the way up. Then a few folks convinced me to put it in,so I cleaned 'er up... a big thanks to all that voted. #ad

As Rob mentioned,he loaned me his Blue Box for the dyno run, since I'd been wanting to install the same one for quite some time. Sorry to say,but I had clutch slipping problems big-time! #ad
Looking at the dyno printout,as the truck reached about 375hp the clutch would simply let go(box was set at 50%). Eeeew... what a smell! Combo was DD stage II,Blue Box(3wire) and Psychotty.
Now I know what my winter project is. I'll be ready for next time!

Just want to say thank you to BD for a great time. Also would like to thank you Washington boys for letting us join in the convoy and making us feel so welcome. It was great seeing Rob, Andy and Jason again to name a few. Also I also enjoyed meeting a lot of new friends.

Thank you again everyone.

PS Rob,the casino paid for the trip. #ad

Yes, I've been out assembling data for the new post on the Papa Joe BOMB strikes and near strikes..... maybe tomorrow #ad

FYI... You know, in years gone by, old faaarts like me were often seen out on the more remote country roads performing acts of hoorrsepower. Not in Canada, ehh? You do it right in front of the clock tower, you know. Cross an intersection and light the suckers up, eh?? Just before lunch you see!??? (Check out Rob's photo)

What you don't know, my friends, is the course PIERS took shortly after Rob's snap was shot..... this way and that way and this way and tha... ... ... ... ... eh!!!

Thank you BD and Piers #ad

I would like to thank the people at BD for putting on such a great event for all us dieselheads. The hospitality and offerings were second to none. I was entertained, feed, educated, and surrounded by great people and their machines. I would also like to thank Rob Hanson, Evan Beck, and MikeR for getting all of us Bombers and fanatics together for such a great trip up. It was awesome meeting all of you folks that were able to make it and I hope to see you at future events and causes. I think we had well over 20 bad a-- trucks heading north in a massive convoy. It is events like these that make be proud to be the owner of the badest pickups on the market. Just look at the trucks on the dyno and you will see that no other brand is even in the same class as these Cummins. I witnessed chipped and hopped up Powerstrokes that barely put out more HP and torque than a stock ETH. And the Chevy's, not even in the ball park. These Cummins engines are BAD A--.

Many thanks to all involved.

Hey Guys, just got home about 1 1/2 hours ago. Couldn't wait to get on the board. Been reading all the posts.

What a great time!! It was great meeting all of you that attended. What a great bunch of people!

Great time at BD and thanks to them for this great event! I'll be ready next year to hopefully run with the Big Dogs (300 HP and above) on the Dyno.

I'll have to admit, I was a bit disappointed not being able to run on the Dyno. But that's OK, clutch probably would not have held up. I got to meet a great bunch of guys and some wives. Not to mention the show that Piers put on for us. Soon as I can get the film developed I will post some more pictures.

Rob, what a GREAT picture!!!

I'll get the video I took up and posted ASAP #ad

Piers is just to CRAZY!!! Next year we should just pay off Abbotsford's finest for about an hour of free road time #ad

Real BOMBers never get speeding tickets. . just a lot of warnings!

Hey Bob,
It's great you and Joe made it to Dyno Day, I KNEW you guys would have a blast! Bummer you didn't get on the dyno, but still was worth the trip, wasn't it?

Congrats to you MikeR, Trophy Man #ad
And 375hp on the dyno--now I know where to stop if I don't want to fry my stock 6-speed clutch #ad
Bet Rob is worried he'll never see that BB again #ad

Nice pic Rob (did YOU actually take that?) he he he Someone needs to rein in those reckless Canadian punks, eh? #ad

You guys had more fun than what should be allowed! No one is stopping me from coming to next year's shindig!
