Just installed a BD exhaust brake . When the brake switch is on, each time I touch the accelerator it sounds as if there is air pressure being released from somewhere near the the accelerator pedal.

Does this sound normal? Is it supposed to do this?

JField, like Doubleclutch said, it is the vacume vent. BD wants it inside the cab away from possible moisture. It is a small plastic line with a filter on the end, usually under the dash next to the fire wall, inside the cab. I have mine under the e-brake pedel, and can hear it on every cycle.
