16" rims for trailer from trucks?

To all,

You may recall over the summer when I had my E-Brake installed and complained about the loud 'squealing' noise it made when I activated. It works great and effectively slows my truck as designed. Unfortunately, its use is accompanied by the ear-splitting racket which is unacceptable. Several calls were made to BD and they insist that the issue is an exhaust leak upstream of the Brake. I looked myself over a period of a few mos. when I had extra time... ... found a couple of minor things and repaired - but to no avail.

My mechanic came up with the idea to pull the valve cover and pressurize the exhaust tubing from my stacks forward to the turbo and exhaust manifold... ... ... that found many minor leaks!! All leaks repaired... ... . hooked everything back up... ... . BAM! Still doing the same exact thing. Another call to BD and they said to ship it to them and stated that 'sometimes' a bushing of some sort can and will leak and cause this 'sqealing' noise. No problem... ... disconnected, sent to BD, gave it a few days and called them. BD said they DID find some things wrong... ..... repaired it, set it up and tested for us and then shipped it back to us. Great Company!!!

Installed it last night ... ... ... ... . hooked everything back up and it still 'squeals'. BD insists that my wide open exhaust is not a reason for this to happen. When I started a thread a few mos. back, a lot of you responded and said the same things that BD has said... ... ... . BUT a few did report this noise and added resonators and mufflers. I believe one was AH64D. Hope I didn't screw that up! So what do I do now? Look for resonators for my stacks, a Donaldson muffler??? Love the Brake but also really like the sound and quick spool action that my stack exhaust provides. How come BD says a wide-open exhaust does not matter? I can assure you my mechanic has sealed all leaks... ... . it was tested after he repaired the few minor leaks!!
