BD Governor

Can someone please inform me as to how the BD governor works. Does it run through the cruise control switches like the factory high idle TSB does for the auto guys? Or, does it need it's own switches? BD says 3 settings: 900, ? , and 2400. What's the middle value? Thanks. Also I'd appreciate suggestions for where to buy.



Or, do you all have better suggestions? Thanks

I bought one of these... beware. Had to send it back because BD failed to properly advertise exactly which trucks it will fit. Note they don't make one that will fit your truck... yet.



It uses it's own switch (comes in the kit) to activate, and cannot be run via the cruise control switches. The factory-defauly RPM settings are 1000, 1500, 2000. It's very simple to wire up your own switches to activate these RPM levels if you want to instead of using their 2-position switch.



I bought mine from Cyclone Diesel . Spoke with the owner, Chris, who was of great assistance. I do recommend them, and they were the best price I was able to find.



I'd just caution you to be very careful with BD themselves. Here's my story.
