Have you guys heard anything good or bad about the HX-40 BD offers? Is is as good as one modified by Piers or DD? The only reason I am considering purchasing one is the convenience factor of having a dealer nearby. I also noted that they wouldn't warrant the turbo unless it had their turbo guard installed, but I'm not sure if any of the others warrant it under any circumstances. This turbo will be used in my dad's pickup. It's a 2001 2500 4X4 auto(suncoast) with a drag comp and it will have a set of BD 90hp injectors. We are currently downsizing the power to make it more driveable(less smoke) and I would like to make sure we are taking the correct route. The pickup currently has bully dog step 5 injectors and a holset H2E and it has tons of power once the turbo spools, but until then it has way too much smoke for our likings. Anyhow, sorry to ramble but I would just like to know if this turbo will be as good as the others on the market. Thanks in advance for your replies.
