Need help with removing valve body

trans shifting funny

Installed a new Mopar AAT from Geno’s Garage today. Exercised the Ram Briefly and it ran fine.
Still have the Code 236 despite Scanner attempts to clear it.
Probably the Diesel Shop I’m taking it to Thursday will see fit to install the Smarty Tuner and EGT probe to see what happens.

I had an EGT with my Smarty, it never gave me any useful information as the EGT s have been below dangerous terrain all the time. When it finally failed it did not replace/repair it. Just plugged up the hole.

The Smarty can delete Codes. Just plug it in and follow the onscreen prompts.

Thanks for the suggestion!
I’ll take it out of the box and see what happens!
Well the EGT sensor didn’t seem necessary to me either but many seemed to think it was and since the EM has 2 ports I figured why not..
I can’t afford a new truck but I can still throw a little at this one

GREAT suggestion Ozymandias!
Smarty Touch cleared the codes and maybe I input a basic tune(?) despite low battery charge warning so I took the Ram for a 25 minute Hwy drive to maybe charge them up a little….
Alas, building a Church Preschool in a small 2K NE population town with just occasional 1-2 mile drives is not good for the Ram - guess we’ll have make more ( almost an hour away either direction) Wal- Mart runs!
And since I only have my Construction tools vice mechanic stuff with me I’ll still take a little time off for the 30 minute drive to the Diesel Shop and pay their shop rate to hide and run all the wires

OR
Once a tune is in the ECM must the Smarty remain engaged ?
Could I leave the Smarty off until the next issue arises and wait till I return home to AL this Winter to install it permanently ?

No you can take it off, it's written into the ECM.
But from that time on, the Smarty is bound to your ECM, you can not use it on another vehicle anymore except for reading/deleting codes.

Thanks once again!
My battery charge drive was much smoother shifting and the idle dash/HVAC rattle was not as bad
I do wish the Smarty “ Comprehensive Manual” was more so as the “ Basic Tune” option I chose doesn’t show up and none of the links for more specifics work and there is no explanation of the Standby button…
I think I’ll give up taking time off to go to a shop and work on my Ram when I’m home in my garage !

Check youtube for more info about the Smarty, nowadays its all about "tutorials", way more then manuals.
I had to learn that to....

I’ve got limited internet access here in western NE but I did use YouTube to figure out how to lash it up and what it would take to install the EGT probe…
Still wonder why I was presented with “Basic Tune” on the Smarty versus having to use a “menu” as described in their PDF manual…
As long as it works for now!
