bd plug n power

I have this one and am very happy with the results, easy to install. I also had a increase in fuel mileage. You will get many replies + - so you have to decide for yourself. I believe the new one has a boost module built in. Good luck

I have the Edge EZ. Gunny S. has the P&P on an identical truck and they both work very well. They really wake these engines up. :D

I just pulled my EZ off last week, and now the truck sure feels like a slug. I'd say it's the best mod you can do, coming out of the gate with a new truck.

(The combo of DD-3's and EZ was too much for the stock clutch. Got a new SBC going in next week, to be followed by an Edge Comp box).

BD or EZ??

Ron, I haven't driven a Ram with the BD box, but I installed an Edge EZ box on my '01 and am still amazed at how much power is available from a little box that took only 3 minutes to install. And it appears that there is no loss of fuel milage, maybe a slight increase!!

I think it is important that whatever box you get that it have a connection to hook up to the MAP sensor so that you can up the total boost from the turbo by modifying the elbow going to the wastegate actuator [parts and instructions included with the box].

If you don't have the MAP sensor connection you will be limited to factory boost limits [about 19-20 psi] and if you increase this without the MAP connection then the engine computer will fail to a 'limp mode' or set codes for overboost. [I'm not sure which or both].

The other thing about the extra boost is that it is extra air, which cools the EGTs down considerably.

Email me directly, and let me know where in Michigan you are, maybe you would like to drive my Ram with the EZ box.

You should get gauges on your truck before you get too carried away with performance mods, and you should monitor what is going on with the engine with each modification.

BE carefull!! The new found horsepower is addictive!! I'm already planning on Transmission mods and bigger injectors!

Best of luck! Greg L:D

Ron, I have the P-n-P (VA/CPC) and PS boost fooler with elbow. I think for towing this is a great setup. But I would get gauges first if you are going to tow. These boxs on an ETH will raise your EGT into the 1200* zone. Just my . 02 worth.
