BD Plug-N-Power

Tried the BD and was very pleased with the power increase. Only problem is when I am pulling my 31' 5th wheel at moderate throttle the T/C chatters when it locks up, it does this in or out of overdrive. It works fine when I am accelerating or above 70 mph. I removed the BD and I can not make the T/C slip. I called BD and was told that now I would need to buy/installe the Pressure Lock to solve the problem?

Oh dear, the old transmission shudder, chatter thing again.

My BD Plug in Power was causing my, what I thought was transmission shudder, problem. Installed a BD torque Convertor, presure lock, and valve body. The problem still persisted until I swapped the BD PnP for a new one. My TC was chattering right before I installed the new one.

If you plan to keep this truck, spend the money and modify your transmission. This is a good investment.

I will not go into who makes the best this that are the other. I based my decision availability, customer service (who was close enough to service my truck in case of prloblems), and price. I am very happy with her now. Even at 102,000 miles.

If your TC is already chattering and shuddering, go ahead and replace it.

I have a 96' 12 valve that had "major"
pump mods and 370's installed last year.
After these mods were done I also had
the "shudder" you describe. Scheid Diesel
installed the "BD Pressure Loc" and it
completely took care of the problem.

john P , i see in your sig that you also have a vb and TC , from BD , was this pressure lock install before or after those mods ??? you need the valve body at minimum to make the pressure loc totally effective , or a valvebody that has the pressure loc function incorporated into it ... #ad

"BD" Valve Body. I had the "BD"
Pressure Loc installed AFTER the
modifications to the pump and the
installation of the 370 Diamond B
injectors.
