had a BD pressure lok put on my 99 auto and it made a major difference in the shift patterns... after a 1175 mile trip pulling my fifth wheel, everything was back to normal. . took it back and the adjusting rod had disappeared. . part ordered..... the only problem now is that when in od and i push the button to take it out of od, the transmission will NOT go BACK into lockup even if you let completely off the foot pedal... always before the BD it would rev up at first after pushing the button and then drop about 300 rpm back into lockup... the dealer says that has nothing to do with the pressure lok being inoperative... i say it HAS to have something to do with it... thanks to J-Geez for the reply earlier. . the prssure lok absolutely did make the shift patterns very different... first shift at 20 mph then others at normal. . i could drive for hours at 15 or 18 MPH and the transmission would stay in first gear... . just got back from branson, mo. and did lots of low speed driving in town and was always in low gear... the rod is ordered and i will take the letter from J Geez and show it to the dealer. . as i said before, after the pressure lok was installed even the down shifts as i stopped were firm to the part of being rough and making a thud as it went down... as some of you have told me, better a FIRM shift than a mushy one... but the transmission never was mushy... had the BD put on at the recommendation of the dealer because i had a box put on... please let me know what i should expect from the BD as well as from the dealer... thanks ... .
