How do I know if my transmission is slipping?

Replacing fuel filters.

Did a search and read lots about this unit, but most posts include problems associated with this unit AND using the torqueloc / brakeloc units.

I haven't found anything wrong specifically about using the pressureloc system used only to add more pressure to the TCC.

Seems to me all it does is add more hydraulic pressure to the TCC and leaves everything else in the transmission alone to work as designed.

Any comments would be appreciated.

All the pressure loc does is move the Throttle valve leaver to max pressure when it receives a signal from the PCM for torque converter lock up.

Blair,

Just a small question here. Does the pressure lock actually max out the TV lever or does it just move to the kickdown point? Isn't there some setup required to adjust it properly? It seems if the lever just needed to be maxed out the setup would be quite simple. I remember a few problems some people had with them being installed improperly.

This may be my poor memory setting in though. Thought I'd ask to clarify.

goober & Strick-9:

I have had the "BD Pressure Loc" on my truck for

over a year now with no problems at all!! As Blair

said the Pressure Loc "rotates the transmission's

throttle valve shaft to increase line pressure. "

That pressure must be "measured" by the installer

and "set" when the kit is installed.

You are correct in that if the unit is not properly

adjusted you will have problems with it.

Hope this helps some.
