BD Short Shift, Yeah or Nea

I've been thinking about buying the BD short shift kit for my 2003. I've read many posts and most folks seem to like them but there have been some problems. Maybe seeing results of a poll will help me make up my mind.

I love mine, along with the quicker gear selection, it helps keep the boost up during shifts.

I've talked to some people that didn't like theirs, mostly where the shift handle landed. That may be a case where the new extension was shaped differently.

Still happy with mine, I figure... what's a couple hundred bucks to perfect my truck, after dropping over 30 grand on the purchase price?

I am not pleased w/ mine. For $200 it should be perfect. The shift pattern when in neutral it always rests over toward the steering wheel instead of staying in the center.

The reason I put it on my truck was to shorten the throw and move the shift lever away from after market center console in any gear pulled back in to. It does that and didn't affect shifting quality or speed for me. Happy



Down side is that I find it hard to keep it from leaking even with silicone or other sealants or dry it keeps seaping. It doesn't help that I have the shifter out of the truck 20 this summer either.



I wouldn't make it the first mod but not the last either it does what it is supposed to do, is it worth the money??? that is for you to decide. All in all I like it.

I like mine works perfect... I bought mine used from some one who did not like theirs for 75$ I figure that is just a drop in the bucket. . I would buy one for that price again... I'm a tight waad I wouldnt pay the original price for it though. . but I really really like mine.

Mine was crap. Horrible shifting, and no support from the manufacturer. I will never give another BD product two cents... ..... IMHO.
