BD Short Shifter Kit????

Hey there,

Is there anyone out there in Diesel land that has installed a BD short Shifter kit on '02 6spd HO? If so, how well does it work? Was it hard to install?

give a search in the second gen drivetrains forum and there will be many that have it... i've got it on my 04... i like it... at first i didn't, but it grows on you in a good way once you relearn driving with it...

i like the way mine shifts. what should have been an easy install was masked by the fact that bd did not provide complete instructions, that was a few years ago, hopefully they got there act together. i would do it again.

Put one on mine last weekend - no problems at all. It shortened the throws even more than I had thought it would. I personally like the feel. I would say, however, that 2, 4, and 6 are just a hair too low now when you have the center console laid down. I still like it better than stock overall though.

It's great. Just seal the mating surfaces well and let it cure. If it's not sealed, an 80 mile trip will drain about 1/4 of your fluid out and all over the back of your truck. And that was with the bolts tight...

I have mine for sale, barely used. 01. 5 6 speed, I only had it on for about 5000 miles. I took it off for warranty work just in case they would say something. Decided I could use the money on other things seeing I lost my job. $195 shipped.
