If you've had it installed for a year, why do you have to wait a couple of weeks to report, i would think after a year you would pretty well know how it works
I have been working with tec support since Oct. Apparently 06.5 and up their is a software conflict if you have a exhaust brake. they are blaming it on my choosing a Pacbrake and not a BD brake but they use the same pins with the same signals. Their solution is to put another controller for an early 06 or older. I love the way the brake works especially the warm up and idle temp control. I built the trans and installed the tap and went to Nevada before I realized what was going on. When I got back in April the truck sat loaded and did I not have time to work on it until Late Aug. They offered a discount on the box but its more junk to worry about and I still louse the other goodies. It took 4 years to save up for this and their is no guarantee this will solve the problems. BD makes grate products but this one should be sold up to 05.5.
I have a peddle switch but when there is over an inch of ice on the truck the warm up function cuts the time to about 1/4 what it takes. I`m 60 yo and have back trouble. If the information would have mentioned something I would have just built my own VB with a lock up switch. If I could push a clutch I would put a shaker in.
And aside from this issue, how does it work in daily driving?
Which shift programm do you use the most?
Can you force upshifts?
Does it stay in that gear what ever comes?
Do you have lockup in first gear?
At which speed is the lockup enabled?
When does it drop out by itself?
