Help! I thank those responding to my previous thread. I am having a BD TC installed as part of my transmission rebuild. They can't get rebuilt transmission to lock up and claim the new TC is defective and needs replaced. Since I ordered the TC, they want me to do the re-ordering, etc.

Of course, I am running into a hassle with the distributor regarding the install. Did they do it right? Have they done this? Have they done that? An so on.

Has anyone had any experience with BD TC's like this?

Thanks

Well before going off on the t/c being the concern they need to check and see if it's electrical or hydraulic. Did they check cooler flow? They need to see if they have proper power and grounds to the lock-up solenoid when commanded on. You can check the cooler line to see if it is changing pressures. Put a pressure gauge in the pressure line and watch and see if pressure changes when tcc is commanded on. Pressure should change around 5 to 7 psi. I never had a concern with BD they always helped me out. Sorry to hear you’re having concerns. Let us know what happens.
