To those of you who the X Monitor, how well do you like the guages? How was the installation and if you had it to do over, which guages would you get?

X monitor

Run a seach on X monitor or x-monitor. I posted the question 5-6 weeks ago and had some good replies.

I've had mine for about a month now. Am very pleased. The display can wash out in direct sunlight but can still be read. While I was at the dealer the last time, I has them hook up their reader and found that the x-monitor was reading the transmission temp 9 degrees low. No big deal. The pyro is installed pre turbo and it was the only thing that is hard to do. Find someone that knows how the drill and tap the manifold without getting anything in the turbo. And yes, the alarm feature will get your attention. It flashes very well and retains the highest temps so you can check. Mounting is so that it does not interfere with vision. Not like the three gage pillar mount that I had on the old truck. Very good device in my estimation.

I really like mine also. I got Boost, EGT and Trans temp. I've had the (3) gauge pillar type and I like this tons better. You can set limits on it and it doesn't block your view. In just the right postition the 3 pod pillar mount will block your view. Almost got me in trouble a couple times on another truck.

Rollover_Pete... I'm very happy with my X-Monitor

I got the pyro,boost and remote temp. If I had known what I do now I would have gotten the regular transmission temp instead of the remote temp.

I like mine with the reservation of bright sunlight and sunglasses; Can't see it all then. Have asked them a couple of time about it but; no response.
