I had an X Monitor installed on my 02 last summer in Coos Bay, OR, with EGT, Boost and Lift Pump Pressure.
From Day 1, the Fuel pressure sometimes jumps all over the place, and other times it is reasonable steady. Normally the pressure is above 5 psi and mostly well above that, but each time I stop, and check the history, I usually find that it has gone to 0 or close to that.
Sometimes it stays well below 4 or 5 and scares the hell out of me. I usually then make an additional fuel filter change and that seems to help. Note that my transducer was installed on the side of the V44 pump, in other words, after the fuel filter.
Has anyone else experienced this variability? Yeh a digital gauge can be like that, but maybe someone (or BD) has tried a filter capacitor to try to slow it down... or do I have a crazy lift pump or installation?
